I liked reading about Christopher Columbus.  He wanted to try new things even though people told him it would not work.  I think he was smart to try to make his trip to the Indies shorter by sailing west instead of south.  I am glad he kept going and found the new world!  I wonder how he got the ship to sail straight in the ocean without GPS?

I really liked learning about Squanto. He was very helpful to the pilgrims. He taught them how to plant corn by putting fish in the soil. The fish helped the sandy soil. This made me think about humas.
